Which stone can be used for landscape borders?

Does black gravel require landscape fabric?
A separation layer may be appropriate in some decorative areas, but fabric does not replace excavation, grade preparation, drainage planning or edge containment. The assembly depends on whether the gravel is decorative or part of a walking surface.
Can a walkway be installed through an existing flower bed?
Often yes. The route must account for roots, irrigation, bed drainage, comfortable step spacing and transitions at the lawn, driveway, patio or gate.
