Can gravel be installed directly over mud?
That approach is not recommended. Wet or unsuitable soil should be addressed, and the specified separation and compacted base should be built before finish gravel.
Does every side yard need underground drainage?
No. Some sites can use surface grading. Others require downspout control, catch basins, solid conveyance or subsurface collection based on the actual source.
What keeps the gravel from entering the lawn?
A specified edge restraint separates the gravel field from adjacent lawn or beds and helps contain the finish material.
How are stepping pavers spaced?
Spacing is planned around paver dimensions, comfortable walking rhythm, route width, gates and the finished design. It is confirmed before installation.
Will utilities and irrigation be marked?
Public utilities should be marked before excavation. Private irrigation and other lines must also be considered within the narrow construction corridor.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on access, excavation, drainage components, soil correction, disposal, fabric, base, paver quantity, gravel type, edge restraint and restoration.
