Downspouts connect to solid conveyance lines so roof water is moved away without intentionally releasing it into a perforated French drain trench.
Where gravity cannot produce dependable flow, a basin and properly selected pump can lift collected water to a viable discharge elevation.
Low areas are corrected while preserving the broader slope needed for runoff. Leveling does not mean making the entire yard flat.
A shallow shaped channel directs sheet flow through the landscape. Swales require continuous fall, stable side slopes, and a workable receiving point.
Grade, roof runoff, side-yard conveyance, and localized collection are coordinated to reduce recurring water accumulation near the home.

The Discharge Point Controls the Plan
Pipe size and inlet count matter, but the system also needs continuous fall or mechanical lift, suitable outlet elevation, accessible cleanout points, and a discharge location that does not transfer the problem to another part of the property.
Review the foundation, fences, patios, neighboring grades, roof discharge, low points, access, and likely outlet.
Locate basins, French drain runs, downspout connections, pump basins, solid lines, and outlets according to the site conditions.
Mark known utilities and irrigation, excavate the planned route, install the specified components, verify pitch, and secure connections.
Backfill and compact appropriately, complete surface grading, restore disturbed areas in the agreed scope, and test accessible collection points and pumps.
