Outdoor living
Concrete patios and extensions
Create or enlarge a seating and cooking surface with planned dimensions, house transitions, runoff direction and connections to the yard.
Spring, Texas and nearby areas
Cracked concrete, low slabs and muddy access routes affect more than appearance. They can interrupt drainage, create uncomfortable transitions and make everyday use of the property frustrating. PLS Landscaping plans residential concrete around demolition, access, subgrade condition, finished elevation, water movement and restoration.
Conditions worth correcting
Replacing the visible slab without reviewing the surrounding grade can reproduce the same conflict. We evaluate how the proposed concrete meets the house, street, garage, lawn, gates, downspouts and existing hardscape before setting the finished elevation.
Movement, weak base conditions, roots and age can leave driveways, patios or walkways uneven.
Low edges, poor cross-slope or blocked discharge can leave water trapped beside concrete.
Routes to gates, equipment, trash storage and patios may need a durable walking surface.
An undersized or poorly connected patio can limit seating, cooking and circulation.
Residential concrete construction
The proposed use determines layout, access, edge conditions and construction requirements. Every scope is evaluated onsite before materials and quantities are defined.
Outdoor living
Create or enlarge a seating and cooking surface with planned dimensions, house transitions, runoff direction and connections to the yard.
Vehicle access
Remove and replace selected driveway areas or construct new access where layout, municipal conditions, approach and drainage can be addressed.
Pedestrian routes
Connect doors, gates, driveways and backyards with a defined route that accounts for walking width, steps, turns and adjacent grade.
Equipment support
Build properly located pads for selected residential equipment, storage or utility uses after confirming required dimensions and applicable clearances.
Removal
Break, remove and haul selected failed concrete while protecting improvements that remain and maintaining practical equipment access.
Coordination
Coordinate applicable drains, downspouts, irrigation adjustments, soil grading and restoration before final lawn and planting surfaces are installed.
Before concrete arrives
Thickness and reinforcement are not universal specifications. They depend on the intended use, soil and project design. We define the applicable assembly after evaluating site conditions and access.
Remove unsuitable material, establish required depth and prepare support below the slab.
Set boundaries and finished height around doors, garage floors, street connection, lawns and drainage paths.
Select reinforcement and joint layout according to slab function, dimensions and project conditions.
Coordinate placement, finishing, weather conditions, access restrictions and initial protection of the new surface.
Concrete work in the field
These separate project photographs show the stages that homeowners do not always see in a finished concrete surface.

Construction sequence
Review use, access, utilities, elevations, drainage, demolition and adjoining surfaces.
Remove selected concrete or soil and expose the area needed for subgrade preparation.
Establish boundaries, base, elevation, slope, reinforcement and joint plan as applicable.
Place and finish concrete, protect initial curing and restore affected lawn or landscape areas.
Related Spring services
Concrete often affects drainage, grade, irrigation, turf and landscape restoration. Review these separate Spring construction services when the project extends beyond the slab.
Spring-area concrete construction
PLS Landscaping provides onsite estimates in Spring and nearby areas, including Klein, Champions, Gleannloch Farms, Augusta Pines and parts of north Houston. Availability depends on project scope, access and location.
Concrete project questions
Yes, when the project scope and access are suitable. The existing concrete is evaluated for demolition, disposal, adjoining structures, subgrade conditions and replacement elevation.
There is no single answer for every slab. Intended use, anticipated load, soil, base, reinforcement, local requirements and project design determine the applicable assembly.
Finished elevation and slope are planned around doors, foundations, existing drains and the available runoff route. Channel drains, catch basins or pipe work may be included when surface slope alone is not sufficient.
The site must first be evaluated and prepared. Organic material, unsuitable soil, required excavation, compaction and base conditions are addressed before forms and concrete placement.
Restoration can be included in the defined scope. Access routes, grade repair, soil and sod quantities are identified during the onsite evaluation rather than assumed after construction.
Pricing is based on measured area, demolition, access, excavation, disposal, base requirements, forms, reinforcement, concrete volume, finish, drainage coordination and restoration. An onsite estimate is required to define the construction scope.
Plan the slab around the property
PLS Landscaping will review the proposed use, access, elevations, drainage and surrounding restoration before defining the construction scope for your Spring-area property.
