Finished concrete must shed water without directing it toward the home, trapping it against a fence or creating a low strip at the lawn. Surface pitch is planned first. Channel drains, catch basins or solid drainage pipe may be incorporated when surrounding elevations block a responsible open route. Existing downspouts and irrigation should also be considered before forms are set.
