What to establish before construction
Can you remove and replace an existing driveway or patio?
Yes, when access and project conditions allow. Demolition limits, disposal, subgrade, adjoining surfaces and replacement elevations are reviewed onsite.
Can a patio be extended from an existing slab?
It may be possible. Existing slab condition, elevations, joints, drainage, roof runoff and the intended use of the extension must be evaluated first.
How thick should the concrete be?
Thickness is not selected from one universal rule. Proposed use, load, dimensions, soil, base, reinforcement, local requirements and project design determine the applicable assembly.
Will new concrete cause drainage problems?
New concrete changes runoff and should be planned accordingly. Finished slope, collection points, channel drains, downspout routing and discharge options are reviewed when applicable.
Can landscaping and sod restoration be included?
Yes. Defined restoration can include grading, soil, sod, irrigation adjustments, planting or gravel depending on construction access and the surrounding design.
